Moreover, influencers can offer third-party validation for services, products, or certain brands. when an influence talks positively about the brand, service, or product, their followers are more likely to trust their opinion or recommendation because influencers are seen as trustworthy and reliable figures in the society. This can help public relations practitioners to build trust for their brand and actually strengthen their reputation

1-INCREASED CONNECTIVITY-social media platforms allow people or individuals to connect with their friends, family, and people they work with from all over the world, making communication easy for everyone.

2-MARKETING AND PROMOTING-businesses can use social media to promote the products that they are selling, they can reach a larger audience and engage with customers

DISADVANTAGES OF SOCIAL MEDIA 


1-CYBERBULLYING- because people who use social media platforms incorrectly, social media platforms can be a platform or playground for cyberbullying, harassment, and trolling which eventually leads to negative mental health effects for victims of social media   


2-REDUCE PRODUCTIVITY- social media can also harm productivity and academic performance. studies have shown that spending excessive amounts of time on social media platforms can lead to distractions and procrastination, ultimately hindering an individual's ability to focus on tasks and responsibilities ( Carrier et al, 2015). This can be harmful to students because too much use of social media platforms can interfere with their ability to perform well in school.


We must approach social media with an open eye and a thoughtful mind. we must always be aware of how social media can shape how we view things, influence our behavior, and actually impact our mental health. by staying woke or aware and engaging with many other views and perspectives, we can use the positive side of social media while reducing the negative effects of it.

-Social media can also be advantageous for public relations practitioners because it can allow for communication between them and their target to be easy and quick and they can reach a lot of people in a short period of time with the help of social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram and this can be helpful during a crisis where fast communication is needed. moreover, social media can help  Public  Relations practitioners to analyze or monitor public sentiment and also be able to gather feedback afterward and they can use this feedback to gain important insights into how their target audience views their organization or brand 

HOW SOCIAL MEDIA CAN BE DISADVANTAGEOUS TO PUBLIC RELATIONS PRACTITIONERS

-Sometimes social media can have some challenges for public relations practitioners whereby the need to stay updated and consistent can consume time for public relations practitioners and they won't have time to do other duties they have to do as public relations practitioners  and also social media can sometimes require money which can be very costly for public relation practitioners 

Social media can be a tool for public relations practitioners but it also has its challenges that public relations must carefully manage, by using the power of social media in a good way public relations practitioners can be able to pass their messages and communicate with their target audience effectively
